Why Flat-Rate Beats Variable and Tonnage Pricing
Variable pricing works backwards. You are quoted a low base rate for the container, the load is weighed after pickup, and the disposal tonnage is billed to you afterward at whatever the landfill charged plus a markup. The number on your invoice is not the number you agreed to, and you cannot budget the job until the container is already gone.
Flat-rate pricing moves that cost to the front. We build the disposal cost for your included tonnage into the quoted price, so the rate you hear on the phone is the rate you pay unless you exceed the allowance or keep the container longer than 14 days. For contractors bidding work, that means you can put a real disposal line item in the bid before the job starts. For homeowners, it means no invoice arriving a week later with a number you did not expect.
It also keeps comparison shopping honest. A competitor advertising a lower headline rate is often quoting the container only — delivery, pickup, and disposal are separate. Add those three back in and the total is frequently higher than our flat-rate price.
