Yard Works Plus was started by my father, Ralph Gerhardt, back in the late 1980s. He began by offering homeowners grounds management services around the Easton, Maryland area. It was a small operation built on hard work and doing right by the neighbors.
As the business grew, I joined my father and we expanded into roll-off container rentals for both commercial and residential customers across the Mid-Shore — Talbot, Queen Anne's, Kent, Dorchester, and Caroline Counties. We saw people getting overcharged, dealing with late deliveries, and paying hidden fees they never expected. We decided to do it differently.
Today, Yard Works Plus offers 10, 20, and 30 yard roll-off dumpsters with flat-rate pricing and same-day delivery. We've delivered thousands of containers over more than 27 years — to homeowners doing spring cleanouts, contractors on job sites, and property managers turning over rentals. We answer the phone when you call, show up when we say we will, and charge you a fair price. That's it. No surprises.

Gary grew up in the business his father Ralph started, learning the trade from the ground up — from operating roll-off trucks to managing commercial accounts. Today, he runs every aspect of Yard Works Plus: scheduling deliveries, managing container inventory, and personally ensuring every customer gets fair pricing and reliable service. With 27+ years of hands-on experience in dumpster rental and construction dumpster services, Gary knows the Eastern Shore's roads, landfill requirements, and local regulations better than anyone.
